The brief on this job was to provide a grass-free pony pen for a pony with ‘cushings’ meaning that their time on grass has to be limited. Having a pen like this means that they still get to be outdoors next to their buddies.
We stripped about 100 tons of Topsoil from the area and then replaced it with Type 1 stone and then wood chippings as a finished surface.
The tricky part was lifting the stone in over the fence and gorse hedge to not make a mess in the field.
